The Japanese word “komorebi” means the soft sunbeam came through the gap of tree branches and leaves.
KOMOREBI JACQUARD is a series of newly developed jacquard weaving techniques that brings the textile a new texture and appearance like komorebi.
For example, the dim shadows of the trees or droplets of sprit sunbeam can be expressed on the fabric with smoothly changing weave patterns generated by the technique.
This technique was developed through collaborative research between Yamananashi Prefecture industrial Technology Center and Yamanashi University.
